(She/They)
Hi!
My name is Cassie Aguglia, and I think it’s amazing that you’re taking this first step in your counseling journey.
Any time you step into my office, you’ll find it calm, welcoming, and cozy.
A place where you can feel safe being who you are, saying what you want, and expressing how you feel. I’m here to be a neutral sounding board, listen to your story, and help you work toward your goals.
I take an in the moment approach to therapy.
Together, we’ll look at the behaviors, challenges, and experiences affecting you right now, while also working to understand what may be underneath them. I like to think of it as putting out the “little fires” before tackling the bigger “wildfire”—all at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
I believe therapy is built on trust, communication, and connection.
I want my office to be a place where you can talk about whatever is bothering you that day, but also somewhere you can share your joys, accomplishments, and celebrations. Using empathy, personality, passion, and plenty of humor, I’ll help you build your own therapeutic tool-belt with coping skills, new perspectives, and practical tools personalized to you and the goals we’re working toward together.
I’m a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC)
I graduated from Robert Morris University in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Counseling and am working toward full licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
My experience includes working with at-risk children and teens, adults struggling with addiction, and people across the lifespan—from ages 8 to 80. These experiences have taught me that everyone comes to therapy with a different story, and its important to meet you where you are and adapt my approach to what you need.
Coming in to see a counselor can feel intimidating, so here are a few things about who I am outside of the therapy room:
I’m a parent to a 6-year-old crested gecko named Styx. I’m a board game and Dungeons & Dragons aficionado and love running D&D campaigns for my friends. I’m a Pittsburgh native and grew up on the North Side. I love art and creativity, I’m passionate about what I do, and you’ll probably hear a bad corny joke or two in session every now and then.
If you’re interested in working together, send me a message and let’s chat.
